Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 readies for on-campus and virtual career fairs

The Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Career Placement and Tutoring Center is expanding its services this semester with plans for both in-person and virtual career fairs in March.

Students are encouraged to begin planning for the career fairs by preparing their resumes and brushing up on their networking and interview skills.

Employers, colleges and universities are invited to register to participate at both events.

March 3: On-Campus Career Fair
The Career Placement and Tutoring Center will host a Career and Transfer Fair on Thursday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first floors of Moody Hall, Regents Hall and the Mary Moody Northen Center on the main campus of Â鶹ɫÇ鯬, 4015 Avenue Q, Galveston.

The Career and Transfer Fair allows candidates and employers to communicate on a personal and face-to-face basis. It also provides opportunities for students to connect with potential employers and discover career information regarding summer or permanent, full-time positions.

Participants will have opportunities to complete applications for employment or admissions. Employers also welcome candidates with resumes.

Employers, colleges and universities that would like to register to participate can contact Megan Stockfleth, coordinator of career placement and tutoring, at mstockfleth@gc.edu.

Students who would like assistance in preparing their resumes can visit the Career Placement and Tutoring Center in Room 119 of the Mary Moody Northen Center.

March 3-April 4: Virtual Career and Transfer Fair
From March 3 to April 4, the Career Placement and Tutoring Center will host a Virtual Career and Transfer Fair on the know.careers platform.

Employers can create a profile and participate at https://know.careers/galvestoncollege.

Students can sign up on the know.careers website or download the know.careers app and upload their resumes and additional information.

For more information, contact Stockfleth at mstockfleth@gc.edu.
