Through Career Pathways, students are helped from the start at Â鶹ɫÇéƬ to
explore academic and career options, choose a program of study, and develop a degree
plan based on the program maps. These plans simplify student decision-making, and
they enable Â鶹ɫÇéƬ to provide frequent feedback and targeted support to
help students stay on their career pathway and complete their program of study leading
to successful career opportunities or transfer.
Prospective and current students should meet with their Pathways Advisor to discuss
career goals and degree plans.
The degree plan provides a logical course sequence framework: Foundation, Knowledge
Building, and Completion. Foundation courses introduce you to the subject matter,
laying the groundwork for further study. Knowledge Building courses delve deeper into
the subject, expanding your knowledge and preparing you for advanced learning. Finally,
Completion courses lead to certificate or degree completion, preparing you to enter
the workforce or transfer to a four-year program. By following a logical course sequence,
you will build knowledge, skills, and abilities that align with your academic and
career goals.
