Available Aid

The financial aid program at 鶹ɫƬ attempts to provide financial assistance to those students who, without such aid, would not be able to pursue higher education. The primary responsibility for financing an education rests with the student and their family; however, 鶹ɫƬ is aware that assistance beyond the family’s resources sometimes becomes necessary. In cases where financial need for eligible students is documented, 鶹ɫƬ will assist, to the extent possible, using all available local, state, and federal funds.

Grants

Grants are funds that do not have to be repaid unless, you withdraw from school or owe a refund. All grants are awarded to students with financial need. The amount of some grants depends on the cost of attendance, estimated family contribution or student aid index, enrollment status, and whether you attend a full academic year. There are two types of grants awarded by 鶹ɫƬ, federal grants and state (Texas) grants.

Waivers and Exemptions

Texas offers tuition exemption and waiver programs for public colleges and universities, authorized by the Legislature. These programs, both mandatory and optional, target specific populations and apply to formula-funded courses, ensuring financial support for education costs. Formula funding allocates funds among higher education institutions, covering courses beyond student tuition and fees. For more information: http://www.collegeforalltexans.com/
