Seven 鶹ɫƬ softball players were recognized with All-Conference and All-Region honors after a successful 2026 season which saw the Whitecaps advance to the NJCAA Division I Region 14 Tournament in Houston.
 
GC freshman first baseman Cassidy Bank was named All-Region First Team, followed by Whitecaps freshman pitcher Jadyn Struxness and freshman third baseman Andrea Tagovailoa, who were named to the All-Region Second Team.
 
In the All-Conference category, Bank, Struxness and Tagovailoa were named to the First Team, while sophomore catcher Paeden Vincik, freshman infielder Gabriella Zulfekar, sophomore outfielder Amiya Villanueva and sophomore utility player Alayna Davis were named  to the All-South Conference Second Team.
 
“We’re proud of what these players accomplished this season,” said Whitecaps Head Softball Coach, Kelly Raines. “They showed up and played hard everyday, and were leaders on and off the field.”
 
GC wrapped up the 2026 campaign with a 39-17 overall record and a 15-9 mark in the Region 14 South Conference. The Whitecaps finished in a three-way tie for second place in the conference, which earned GC the No. 4 seed in the regional tournament.
 
The Whitecaps’ season featured several highlights for the program this year, including a 17-game winning streak, a Top 20 ranking in the first half of the season and the second-highest amount of victories in a season during the past four years under Whitecaps Head Softball Coach Kelly Raines. This season’s qualification also marked the fourth consecutive regional tournament appearance by GC.
